An Air Force "brat", Stephen Hatley is not a true Arizona native, but claims it as home having grown up in Gilbert since he was 10 years old. After graduating from Arizona State with a B.S. in Finance he spent nearly 15 years in the commercial facilities management industry in a number of roles spanning from finance and operations to supply chain and business development. Inspired by a desire to make a stronger impact in his local community, Stephen walked away from the corporate world to pursue a much larger passion through small business ownership and launched The Grounds Guys of Scottsdale in 2023. Stephen is motivated to be an employer of choice, and a trusted household name in the East Valley. He appreciates a beautiful, and clean outdoor space year-round and prioritizes creating unique experiences for the customers he's privileged to work with. Stephen married his beautiful wife Ashley in 2015, and they live in North Mesa with their two little girls Brooklyn and Taylor. In their spare time, they are busy with activities for the girls, enjoy entertaining friends and family, and remaining active. Stephen enjoys exercise, playing golf, and any chance to prepare meat on the grill or smoker.
